You must have a lot of questions regarding Wedding Photography? Hopefully you will find some answers to your questions below:
Can we customise our own package?
Yes, of course! If my current packages are not what you are looking for or if you have a certain product in mind, simply let me know what you would like and I will quote you accordingly.
Do we get all of our photos?
You will receive an unlimited amount of images minus the blinks and blurs.
Should we have a meeting?
I recommend meeting in person to establish a relationship and put a face to a name. I am more than happy to take you and your fiancé for a cup of coffee or a brew (your choice) and we can chat all about your wedding plans!
Do you photograph same-sex couples?
Yeah! Love is all the same to me.
Are there any hidden extra costs?
No, all prices are listed in my menu and price list. Travel may incur a fee if the location is outside of 1 hour from Palm Beach, QLD however this will be discussed at the time of booking.
Have you ever cancelled a wedding or been a no-show?
Do you offer engagement shoots?
I do! Engagement sessions are $200 or are complimentary with any of my Packages (does not include if hired hourly).
Do you travel?
Yes, travel that is more than 1 hour from Palm Beach, QLD will incur a fee dependant on the location. Locations that are more than two hours from the Gold Coast will require two nights accommodation.
Can we provide a shot list?
Yes, I am more than happy to accept your shot list, however please know that I will more than likely be taking the shots that you want anyway and that things can unexpectedly happen on the day that may impact said list. I ask that you trust in your Wedding Photographer to capture your special day magically.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as mostly photojournalistic, I like to capture your day without imposing and act like a fly on the wall to capture those truly natural and emotive shots. Bridal portraits are more formal, but will still be natural, light-hearted and relaxed.
How can I pay?
I accept credit card, bank transfer, cash or PayPal.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, I am insured.
Can you hold a date for me?
Your date will not be held until the non-refundable booking fee of $200 has been paid and the contract has been signed.
Do you offer videography?
At this point in time I do not offer videography. My training and passion are in photography and I put all of my time and energy into creating the best work I can for you.
Do you price-match with cheaper Photographers?
No I do not, I have carefully calculated my prices based on various things including but not limited to my cost of doing business, my time and finances invested in study, equipment and other business expenses. I take pride in my work and only print using high quality materials.
When should we book you in for our wedding day?
A.S.A.P… Enquiries come through daily, to secure your date you should book in as soon as you can by paying the $200 booking fee and signing the contract.
Do we need to feed you?
For wedding coverage over 5 hours you will need to supply a service meal for myself and my second Photographer if included.
Can our family and friends take pictures with their cameras?
This is up to you. I don’t mind as long as they don’t interfere or crowd around me during special moment photos. I recommend that you do not allow guests to be around during your formal bridal portraits as this can be very distracting for you and your bridal party and I prefer all eyes on my camera, not looking away at somebody else. Please note, if you allow cameras to be used that although I will get the shot to the best of my ability, I cannot guarantee to get every image on your ‘shot list’, for example if I am about to take a beautiful shot of the kiss and then Aunt May steps in my view to take her own photo. Damn you Aunt May!!
What happens if it rains?
We splash! You should have a wet weather back up plan for your day. I will have a few clear umbrellas for your formal photos in case of bad weather. We can’t control it, so we take it with a grain of salt and have fun with it.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your booking-fee is non-refundable, however any further payments made will be refunded if the wedding is cancelled at least 48 hours from the wedding start time.
When should we have our engagement session?
This is your choice, most couples will choose to do this early on in their engagement soon after booking the Photographer. This is good chance for us to get to know each other better and go over some poses for your big day.
What happens after the wedding?
Once your images are ready and after you have returned from your honeymoon, we will arrange to meet for your Reveal and Ordering Session. Here you will view all of your beautiful wedding images and you can choose your favourite images for print if you wish to make a purchase. Expect this meeting to take a couple of hours and to make any further payments if you want to purchase prints or an album.
How long does it take to edit our images and receive our album/prints?
Your images will be ready on a USB between 4-8 weeks after your wedding day. After the images are completed, your album will be designed and expect this to be ready within just a few weeks of receiving your digital files.
Can we add additional pages to our album?
Absolutely, if you love more images than you have originally chosen then we can certainly add more pages to your album. Let me know how many extra pages you want and I will quote you accordingly.
Do you photoshop images?
Yes, I colour correct and apply minor skin retouching, I do not go over board with retouching unless otherwise requested. Additional requested editing may incur an additional fee.
What can/can’t we do with our digital files?
You will have a print release which will allow you to print, copy and share your photos. However as the copyright will still belong to your Photographer you may not use these images for commercial use without written consent, you may not edit or alter your photos in any way including but not limited to Instagram filters. You will receive high-resolution files for print and low-resolution files for social media. The images will be free of watermarks.
Do you back up your images?
Yes, I back up to two separate places.
Can we receive the Raw or unedited digital files?
I do not give my RAW or unedited images as they do not best represent my work and skill. Please be assured that you will receive all images that are not blinks, blurs or someone walking infront of the camera. All of the latter are not archived and therefore will not be available.
Can we edit our images for Instagram etc?
No, you may not alter or edit your images in any way including but not limited to Instagram filters as this is not a representation of my work.
What if we lose our images?
I recommend that you back up your wedding images. If you lose your images, I will have the photos archived for up to 5 years from your wedding date. There will be a $100 replacement fee for these to be re-supplied to you.
Destination weddings will incur extra travel fees.
This is based on a case by case basis dependant on the location. Travel expenses may include return airfares, two nights accommodation and car rental.
